Description
For I Was An Hungered is a sacred anthem appropriate for liturgical service and concert performance alike. The work depicts and contemplates the scene when Jesus taught this important lesson on charity, "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." The vocal lines are lyrical and melodic throughout. There is a great sense of yearning followed by awe and devotion in the coda.
