Winterscape is a Winter Carol that contemplates the cycle of the cold winter season and it's eventual turn to spring, comparing this to the natural course of life, death and resurrection. The cool verse melody portrays the icy landscape and prospect of death which is answered each time by the warmth and peace brought on by spring and the hope of resurrection.
